Mr. Bailey is president and a director of the firm. He has been with the firm since 1989. He has over 25 years of extensive litigation experience, in the areas of reinsurance and excess insurance, workers compensation claims and premium disputes, toxic tort, environmental disputes, annexation disputes, property rights and other complex civil litigation. He also regularly advises clients in insurance, environmental and other regulatory matters. Mr. Bailey was a practicing chemical engineer in manufacturing prior to entering law.

Mr. Bailey represents local, national, and international industrial and commercial clients in a wide variety of areas. He has successfully tried many complex cases, including reinsurance arbitrations, toxic tort litigation, railroad litigation, annexation litigation, including several jury trials involving toxic tort and death. Mr. Bailey served as general counsel for a workers’ compensation self insurance fund and has handled numerous regulatory matters related to insurance and the environment. Mr. Bailey has in-depth legal knowledge of all aspects of workers’ compensation including claims, premiums, medical billing, regulatory matters and reinsurance disputes. Mr. Bailey has been a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association since 1989. He is admitted to practice before all of the Federal Courts of Louisiana, including the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Environmental Section of the State Bar and served as Section Chair in 2006. He served on the RBCA advisory liaison group for the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry. He is a member of the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, the Alexandria Bar Association, and Air and Waste Management Association. He has presented as a CLE lecturer in the subjects of workers’ compensation and environmental law.
